Purchasing Coordinator(Temporary Position)The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (or C-NLOPB, soon to be the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator, or C-NLOER - see below) invites applications for the temporary position of Purchasing Coordinator.Reporting to the Purchasing and Property Services Lead in the Corporate Services Department, the Purchasing Coordinator:Prepares estimates and obtains quotes for purchasing of goods, materials and services, predominantly focused on IT-related equipment, software and servicesConducts research on potential products, vendors, and servicesEnsures vendor compliance with contract requirements and maintains vendor databaseTracks details pertaining to shipping and delivery and liaises with vendors to resolve issuesAssists in the receipt and coordination of purchased goods and servicesCollaborates with the Board's Legal Services Department to review and draft contract documentsProcesses purchase requisitions and purchase ordersAssists in the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, tenders and contractsAssists in the evaluation of bidsCarries out other related duties assigned as requiredWhat we are looking for:Degree or diploma in business administration or a related fieldAt least two years relevant experience, preferably some experience purchasing IT hardware and softwareKnowledge of purchasing and inventory control policiesProficiency in MS Office, especially ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision, efficient organizational skills and detail- orientedSupply chain management qualifications would be an assetInterested persons may submit an application by November 8, 2024 to:Human Resources ManagerCanada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board240 Waterford Bridge Road, Suite 7100The Tower Corporate Campus - West Campus HallSt. John's, NL A1E 1E2E-mail: careers@cnlopb.caWho we are:The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) currently regulates petroleum-related activities in the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area on behalf of the federal and provincial governments.
