*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Network Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires a good understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and customer service skills to effectively support our users and infrastructure. *Overview* Languages English Education * College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 1 year to less than 2 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting * Relocation costs not covered by employer * Willing to relocate *Duties* * Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment * Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software * Provide problem-solving services to network users * Implement data, software and hardware security procedures * Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records * Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations * Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet * Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance * Modify Web pages, applets and scripts * Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines * Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers * Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations * Supervise technical staff *Additional Information* * Fast-paced environment * Work under pressure * Tight deadlines * Repetitive tasks * Handling heavy loads * Physically demanding * Ability to distinguish between colours * Combination of sitting, standing, walking Join our team as a Network Technician where your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our network infrastructure while providing top-notch support to our users.
