Successful candidates are expected to: understand the importance of supporting a welcoming environment; <p> present a positive attitude towards inclusion and diversity; <p> identify opportunities to support inclusion and diversity; and,<p> take meaningful action.Start Date: January 6, 2025 <p>Desired Qualifications: Bus Drivers endorsement (School Bus S) class 5 Chinook will provide financial & physical support to candidates who have not yet obtained an S endorsement<p> Clean drivers abstract<p> Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, staff<p> Good physical condition<p> Basic Computer SkillsDuties (may include but are not limited to): Transporting students safely<p> Daily driving when students are in attendance<p> Daily disinfecting and cleaning of bus<p> Adhere to following safe bus driving procedures <p> Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment ProceduresBenefits: Defined Benefit Pension Plan<p> Employee benefit package<p> Positive work environment<p> Pay Range: $18.72 - $20.37 per hour + $0.206 per KM (over 80 km driven) and bus expense allowances. S Endorsement Process: Pick up a driver handbook from your local SGI office or the transportation department. <p> Submit a Bus Driver Medical to SGI (you will need to make arrangements with your health care professional to have this document completed). <p> Once the medical is completed and approved, you can book your written exam with SGI. <p> Contact Chinooks Driver Assessor to make arrangements for Chinook Driver Training; <p> Book your road test with SGI. <p> Upon successful completion, submit a copy of your S Endorsement certification to Human Resources.
