Professionalism in customer service. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. CPR Certificate. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). First Aid Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Tractor-trailer. Type of heavy equipment operated: Gravel or dump truck. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Equipment and machinery experience: Washing machines. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Provincial/territorial. Short-haul. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Medical exam. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence.
