Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Estimating. Construction company. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients . Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms. Utilize quantity take-off procedures. Advise on tendering procedures. Analyze tenders and recommend awards. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
