*Summary of Authority and Responsibility*
The successful candidate will be an Insurance Claims Adjuster actively involved in evaluating multi-line claims with a focus on property and Casualty (commercial and personal lines) claims through loss investigation. They will be responsible for negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.
*Qualifications and Skills:*
* 5 or more years of functional and technical claims handling experience in an insurance environment
* Possession of an Adjuster License
* The ideal candidate will have a construction and property background specializing in project management, quantification, and appraisal.
* Commercial policy interpretation and experience making recommendations to the market.
* Proficiency in comprehending and applying commercial and/or personal lines policy terms and endorsement forms.
* The capability to draft memos for review and approval by supervisor.
* Proven ability to effectively manage a full caseload within a fast-paced environment.
* Outstanding organizational skills, including the maintenance of a robust diary system.
* Strong report writing skills.
* Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills.
* Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth.
* Prior experience with TPAs is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
* An aptitude for quickly learning new IT applications.
