<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Barista - The EveryPerson Café (EP Café)</strong><br /><strong>Location</strong>: 139 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON<br /><strong>Pay</strong>: $18-$19 per hour<br /><strong>Positions Available</strong>:</p><ul><li>1 Morning Shift Barista/All Rounder (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM</li><li>1 Evening Shift Barista/All Rounder</li><li>1 Weekend Barista/All Rounder</li><li>1 On-Call Barista/All Rounder</li></ul><p><strong>About Us</strong>:<br />The EveryPerson Café (EP Café) is an inclusive, cozy space located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all, offering a carefully curated menu with vegan, gluten-free, and traditional options. We're looking for passionate baristas who are excited to deliver excellent coffee and customer experiences.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Masterful Espresso Crafting</strong>: Expertly prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, as well as teas and cold beverages.</li><li><strong>Customer Experience</strong>: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and ensure personalized service for a memorable visit.</li><li><strong>Food Service</strong>: Serve light menu items including baked goods, sandwiches, and other treats, with a focus on quality and presentation.</li><li><strong>Product Knowledge</strong>: Educate customers about our premium coffee blends, teas, and food items, providing recommendations when needed.</li><li><strong>Maintain Cleanliness</strong>: Adhere to regular cleaning schedules, ensuring a tidy and inviting environment for both customers and staff.</li><li><strong>Efficient Operations</strong>: Accurately process orders through the POS system, handle cash, and restock inventory as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Barista Experience</strong>: 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced café environment, with proficiency in operating espresso machines.</li><li><strong>Customer Service</strong>: Friendly, engaging, and able to build rapport with a diverse customer base.</li><li><strong>Flexibility</strong>: Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call, depending on the role.</li><li><strong>Physical Requirements</strong>: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong>:</p><ul><li>Health benefits for full-time staff after 3 months of service.</li><li>A welcoming and inclusive work environment.</li><li>Opportunity to hone your barista skills and grow with our team.</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule</strong>:</p><ul><li>Morning, Evening, and On-Call shifts available</li><li>Monday to Friday availability with potential weekend shifts</li></ul><p>If you're passionate about coffee, committed to excellent service, and eager to work in a dynamic, community-focused café, we'd love to hear from you. <strong>Apply today</strong> to join The EveryPerson Café team!</p></div></div>- LocationOttawa, ON
