WECDSB Learning Support Services invites applications for the following Non-Union position vacancy:<p>Program Specialist <p> <p>Reporting to the Executive Superintendent of Student Achievement K-12 and the Superintendent of Education- Student Achievement K-12, the successful candidate will work with school personnel, students and parents to support positive behaviour. The successful applicant will be responsible for utilizing their behaviour and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) expertise to support multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate training and resources, and facilitate collaboration between service providers and schools.<p> <p>Qualifications: <p><p> Post-secondary degree or diploma;<p> ABA expertise/behaviour expertise, comprising formal education, training and practical experience;<p> Training in applied behaviour analysis principles from a recognized facility would be an asset;<p> Experience providing and/or facilitating adult learning and training;<p> Experience working with children and youth who have special education needs, in particular those that have autism spectrum disorders/behaviour disorders;<p> Knowledge of the elementary and secondary education system in Ontario;<p> Familiarity with special education issues, particularly those relevant for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and behaviours;<p> Excellent organizational and coordinating skills;<p> Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the school system.<p> <p><p> <p>Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume, cover letter, and two professional references by November 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
