Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Tractor-trailer. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
