Perks!</span></strong><span> </span></span></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Competitive salary, with overtime available</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Tool allowance </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Uniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided</span></span></li> <li><span><span>RRSP Match</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Safety-minded organization</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Stable, year-round employment</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Continuous training, learning and development opportunities</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Fun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility</span><span> </span></span></li> </ul> </div> </div><div> <div> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong> </span><br><span><em>Duties and Responsibilities:</em></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment in the shop and field</span></li> <li><span>In the field, conduct scheduled mechanical maintenance and inspections for equipment mainly composed of diesel light towers, while assisting with lube and services for various other pieces of equipment</span></li> <li><span>Respond to unscheduled mobile maintenance (breakdowns) to start or repair vehicles and equipment that are disabled</span></li> <li><span>In the shop, assist with inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment including (but not limited to) aerial lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, excavators and skid steers</span></li> <li><span>Complete required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner</span></li> <li><span>Maintain a clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment</span></li> <li><span>Follow all company and work-site policies and procedures, and governmental and equipment related safety requirements</span></li> <li><span>Available to be on call when needed</span></li> <li><span>Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team</strong></span><br><span><em>Qualifications and Requirements:</em></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Minimum of one year of mechanical work experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment</span></li> <li><span>Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Truck and Coach (421A or 310T) license is an asset, but not required</span></li> <li><span>Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract</span></li> <li><span>Flexibility; must be comfortable with adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment and with changing between the shop and field environments</span></li> <li><span>Must have own tools</span></li> <li><span>Excellent problem-solving skills</span></li> <li><span>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner</span></li> <li><span>Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team</span></li> <li><span>Pride in what you do!</span></li> </ul> </div> </div><p><span>Want to learn more about this as well as other opportunities at Cooper?
