*Hanscomb Limited *is looking for an _*Entry Level Administrative Assistant*_ to join our awesome team of knowledgeable people in our _*Halifax, Nova Scotia*_ office to keep up with the increasing demand for our services, this may be just the career you?re looking for! As our _*Entry Level Administrative Assistant*_, there will be a requirement to be in the office several days a week with the ability to work remotely. For this reason, applicants in the _*Halifax, NS and surrounding area*_ will be given preference and will be responsible for reliable transportation. Regular office hours are Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 5:30pm and Fridays from 8:15am to 12:45pm.
Ideal candidates will have experience or working knowledge of:
* Reception duties for the office including client communication both in person and on the phone, mail and courier arrangements, meeting arrangements, along with other general reception related activities
* Supporting the managers in the office with document control and filing
* Word processing and document production duties, including preparation of reports and letters
* Maintenance of office filing systems, archiving and office libraries
* Maintenance of office supplies and office equipment
* Assisting with collections of Accounts Receivable and bank deposits
* Organization of accounts payable
* Computers and software such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
Our ideal candidate will offer:
* Excellent word processing and document formatting skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
* Knowledge of other office scheduling or project management software programs would be considered advantageous
Up to a year of experience in an office environment is preferred. Secondary school certificates or diplomas in office administration is recommended.
