Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will participate in strategic planning, inventory management, and maintenance of critical equipment. You will also play a key role in continuous improvement projects, and you will ensure compliance with ISO and ISM standards and be involved in LNG operations.</p><p></p><p>With at least 5 years' experience on oil tankers, technical expertise in mechanical engineering and strong problem-solving skills, you will take responsibility for complex teams and projects.</p><p></p><p>If you have Arctic experience, that's an asset.</p><p></p><p>Apply now for strategic challenges in the marine industry!</p><p></p><p><strong>More specifically, the Operations Manager has the following main responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li><strong>Equipment management</strong>: Manage equipment inventory and maintenance, ensuring compliance with commercial and safety standards</li><li><strong>Supervision of Arctic operations</strong>: Ensuring the safety of vessels while managing the risks associated with port, mooring and shipping activities in this region</li><li><strong>Strategic planning</strong>: Actively participate in trade route planning, cargo management, and resource planning</li><li><strong>LNG management</strong>: Develop and manage LNG operations, maintain relationships with suppliers and participate in spill exercises</li><li><strong>Budget management</strong>: Oversee the Arctic operations budget, including maintenance and inventory of equipment specific to this region</li><li><strong>Training and compliance</strong>: Participate in safety and spill response training exercises, and ensure compliance with ISO and other industry standards</li><li><strong>Risk management</strong>: Identify and manage operational risks while ensuring smooth communication with teams and partners</li></ul><p></p><strong><br> </strong><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Working conditions</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Permanent, daytime position</li><li>Flexible working hours of 37.5 h per week</li><li>Salary according to experience</li><li>Telecommuting policy (50 % over 10 days)</li><li>Flexible work schedule</li><li>Comprehensive group insurance program (including dental insurance)</li><li>Registered Retirement Savings Plan (with employer contribution)</li><li>Employee assistance program and telemedicine</li><li>Ongoing employee training program</li><li>Annual vacation</li><li>Indoor and outdoor parking available on request (fees apply)</li><li>Floating vacations, sick leave, and public holidays</li><li>Free coffee!</li></ul> <br> <p><strong>Skills required</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>College diploma (DEC) or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering</li><li>Minimum 5 years' experience on board oil tankers, as an officer or engineer</li><li>Excellent command of mechanical equipment and systems, ability to diagnose and solve complex problems: able to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and be attentive to details that may affect operation performance and safety.
