Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR), a charitable non-profit organization serving the Oakville community since 1972, is currently hiring a Homemaker to work Part-time hours. *Why Choose OSCR?* · Paid meal breaks · Stability - Know your schedule up to 6 weeks ahead of time · Paid orientation and training · Company-issued mobile device for scheduling and company communications · Continuous training and skills development · In partnership with the Ontario government, we provide an additional $3/hour temporary increase for PSW staff to supplement regular earnings *Responsibilities:* * Performs weekly cleaning of client?s rooms, which includes but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, bed-making cleaning of washrooms and mopping as per environmental cleaning standards * Performs cleaning of public areas and vacant rooms * Contributes to the effectiveness of the service plan by observing, communicating and recording appropriately. * Other duties as assigned. * Reports issues and concerns to the Quality & Safety Supervisor *You will need to enjoy working with seniors, provide a clear vulnerable sector search, and possess excellent communication skills when interacting with clients.* _In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and OSCR Policies on Accommodation, a request for accommodation will be accepted as part of the OSCR hiring _ Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Oakville, ON L6L 5G5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Are you available to work weekends? * Do you have a current vulnerable sector police check?
