The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers. This position requires a hard-working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide excellent customer relations, possess strong teamwork ethics, as well as having strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Previous experience with rental equipment or a strong background in a related field would be an asset. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Battlefield Equipment Rentals Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiativesOperate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficientlyFabricate structures from drawings or sketchesMaintain quality workmanship to repair equipment within the established time standards out in the fieldRestore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, dissembling and assembling relative componentsAble to perform repairs on various construction equipmentMaintain an inventory of materials used for fabricationMaintain and build strong customer relationsOther duties as assigned Key Qualifications Previous experience as a Welder or Welder's assistant is requiredStrong fabrication skills is an assetPost-secondary education with a Welder Certificate in GMAW, SMAW and FCAW and/or experienced/Certified Machinist for Diesel or Heavy EquipmentAbility to work independently, and in a team atmosphere.Good communication and people skillsStrong time management and organizational skills Battlefield Equipment Rentals is committed to creating an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
