*JOB SUMMARY*
Hestia is looking for high preforming individual for the role of Project Manager. This position is vital to the success of the execution of a project through planning, scheduling, documentation, budget allocation and other elements necessary for the project success.
The Project Manager will apply sound construction methodology and best practice project management techniques to ensure the project is completed on time, to scope and on budget. The Project Manager is to work collaboratively as part of our construction team and reports to the VP of Construction.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Plan, schedule, organize, control, track all project activities throughout the project.
* Prepare estimates, tender documents, procurement schedules.
* Ensure all project documentation is current and accurate.
* Effectively negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
* Compile monthly project reports for the Executive Team as required.
* Ensure all project work compiles to IFC drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
* Develop strategies to mitigate variances and changes to the plans and schedule.
* Oversee change management process and documentation on the project.
* Ensure all contractual issues are resolved and dealt with in a timely manner.
* Ensure that Work Safe Practices are being followed on site.
* Manage sub-contractor or trades and be primary liaison with site superintendents and sub-trades.
* Always ensure quality construction standards.
* Identify and assess project risk and develop migration plan.
* Manage scheduling and progress tracking of project.
* Keep current in building best practices and knowledge of industry changes.
* Perform duties and tasks as required by the VP of Construction.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Minimum of 5-10 years as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
* At least 3 - 5 years of experience on concrete commercial or residential high rise construction sites.
* Having a PMP or GSC would be an asset.
* Very strong organizational skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Procore is an asset.
* Strong computer skills including MS-Word, Excel, Outlook, and Projects.
* Own and operate a reliable vehicle.
