Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation. Determine type of treatment required. Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas. Place and set traps to capture and remove animals. Install animal control barriers to keep animals off property. Clean out areas that harbour pests. Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence. Equipment and machinery experience: Animal traps. Electrical sprayers. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
