Participates as a member of a team to provide support to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a secondary school graduation program or equivalent. Required to have completed a Child and Youth Care Diploma, or Associate Degree, or a Community Social Service Worker Diploma. Post-Secondary Bachelor degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Care is preferred.<p> Minimum of 2 years supervised recent and relevant work-related experience with children and youth is required. <p> Proven ability working with at-risk school-aged children and youth as well as experience running groups with children and youth.<p> Ability to work independently without supervision.<p> Valid B.C. Driver's License. Safe driving record; required to transport students in personal vehicle.<p> Ability to work cooperatively with family, community, and school personnel.<p> Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. <p> Ability to follow school and community protocols. Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.<p> Knowledge of WCB and WHIMIS regulations.
