This is a Full Time Permanent position with *TWO *vacancies in the *daytime* (7:00 am - 3:00 pm) and *afternoon* (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm). * Maintaining and servicing equipment used for the daily manufacturing of food products - ensure safe plant operations and working environments for all employees. * Perform wide variety of maintenance duties including troubleshooting, fabrication, routine and emergency repairs of high-speed food processing equipment with minimum supervision * Enhance equipment performance, optimize equipment safety, food safety and reliability with the support of preventative maintenance initiatives * Perform equipment change-over and production line set ups, welding, machining and fabricating where qualified and maintain high sanitation standards, housekeeping and cleanliness * Participate in continuous improvement projects including the installation and commissioning of machinery * Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with GMP's, HACCP, WHMIS and health & safety requirements *What you'll need to succeed:* * A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade licence (433A) or apprentice with >5500 hours logged and all schooling completed * Certificate of apprenticeship for licensed applicants * 3-5 years of relevant experience * 8+ years of experience if unlicensed * Experience within food & beverage, pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industry highly preferred * Strong and effective communication skills * A demonstrated ability to take initiative, make sound decisions, and achieve results independently without constant supervision * Able to work overtime shifts to support a growing operation * The ability to work from drawing, written or verbal instruction and sketches * Sense of urgency, attention to detail and ownership in quality of work * Work/Food Safety focus and deliver results to support production process * Understand and carry out preventive maintenance procedures We support one another to grow professionally, learn new skills and take on challenging experiences in the spirit of continuous improvement.
