With VF Freight?s strong network of partners and strong market position, we are geared for continued success. *Location:* 131 Tilley Road, Kelowna, BC *Position Overview:* We are seeking a highly motivated Class 1 Driver to join our team in delivering general LTL freight within the Okanagan, including in town deliveries. We have added a number of new routes and are looking for great individuals to join our ever growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering a wide variety of freight, as well as maintaining accurate and complete documentation for each shipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of deliveries as work is needed and occasionally general warehouse duties. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, closed on Stat holidays. *Key Responsibilities:* * Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently to pick up and deliver freight. * Load and unload freight from the vehicle, using equipment such as forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as necessary. * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. * Comply with all safety regulations and traffic laws. * Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and workspace. * Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and other related documents. *Core Competencies/Experience:* * Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record * Must provide a driver's abstract * Good communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Positive attitude and willingness to learn * Willingness to work early mornings and overtime as needed *What We Offer:* * Competitive hourly starting wage * Benefits package after 3 month period * Overtime pay after 45 hours per week * Requested personal protective equipment (PPE) * Positive work culture and room for advancement * Driver appreciation programs, including gift cards, boot allowances, and raises at yearly review. *How to Apply:* If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume and driver's abstract to Patricia at Patricia@valleywidefreight.ca We thank you for your interest in our company.
