*Responsibilities*
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
* Manage phone systems, answering calls promptly and addressing patient inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff.
* Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical professionals.
* Verify insurance information and assist with billing and claims processing.
* Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and consent forms.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
* Utilize medical software systems such as Accuro for managing patient information and scheduling.
* Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
* Collaborate with respiratory therapists or medical staff to ensure efficient office operations.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role within a medical office setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems is essential.
* Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Accuro
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and staff.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism under pressure.
