Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Layer poultry farming. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
