*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and experienced Retirement Community Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our Residence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of building mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal performance of equipment, and leading a team of maintenance and housekeeping professionals. The Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency. *Responsibilities* * Lead and supervise the housekeeping/maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work. * Manage the administrative systems for maintenance/housekeeping activities, scheduling, and reporting. * Oversee the maintenance, repair, and functioning of electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment. * Ability to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs. * Develop preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. * Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities. * Train team members on best practices for maintenance procedures and safety protocols. *Qualifications* * Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising a maintenance team. * Strong knowledge in Residential buildings and maintenance of systems. * Proficient in mechanical systems with hands-on experience in repair and maintenance. * Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. * Experience with HVAC systems is preferred. * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. * Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
