*Position Summary:*
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the receiving, storage, and shipment of glass products and materials. This is a key role that ensures timely deliveries, safe handling of products and effective communication with internal and external customers.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Receive and inspect incoming materials and products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Verify product counts and compare shipping documents to actual shipments.
* Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring they are safely and securely packed.
* Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment in the shipping area.
* Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and store products.
* Manage inventory and update records in the company?s inventory management system.
* Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
* Communicate with suppliers, drivers, and customers to coordinate shipments and deliveries
* Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures when handling glass products.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping/receiving area.
*Requirements:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
* Forklift certification preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
* Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
