*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by accurately estimating costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. *Duties* * Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation. * Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create accurate estimates and manage project data. * Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects. * Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates while maintaining quality standards. * Review and analyze bids from subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications. * Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference. * Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to identify any discrepancies or potential overruns. * Assist in the preparation of reports on project status, including budget updates and cost analysis. *Experience* * Experience in estimating masonry projects is an absolute must. * Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. * Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. * Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing agreements. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. * Experience in project management is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of how estimating fits into the overall project lifecycle.
