Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.Maintain control of access to and from the propertyLog details of radio transmission, telephone calls and verbal instructionsDirect back-up support as necessaryInform management of major incidentsMaintain the Camera Surveillance SystemAnswer all incoming security telephone lines including the complex emergency telephone line.Ensure that security operations occur consistent with policy and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualifications: Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalismMust have at least 1-2 years of prior dispatch or industry-related experienceExperience in healthcare is considered an asset**Must have a strong command and fluency in the English language both written and verbal Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environmentMust be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duressMust demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awarenessMust demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a teamWhat You Need to Succeed:A minimum 1-2 years of dispatch experienceA working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety ActKnowledge of Trespass to Property ActPrevious dispatch experience in the emergency services setting such as Police, Fire, EMSAt the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites:Immunization Record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB skin test 1 & 2)A Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseFirst Aid and CPR Level C2 COVID-19 Vaccinations proof Proficient in English (both oral and written)Must possess a valid G Class driver's licenseMinimum driving experience of 3 to 5 yearsMust provide driver's abstractNo more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.Additional prerequisites:Must be able to commute to Toronto for pre-deployment training (4 training days M-F) Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) from ASP provider.
