The Cancer Registrar II reports to the Manager of Cancer Registry.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Diploma in Health Information ManagementExperience: Nine (9) months of cancer registry coding experience within the last three (3) years; OR If no such applicant found, six (6) months cancer registry coding experience within the last three (3) years; OR If no such applicant found, one (1) year of experience as a Health Information Practitioner (HIP)Membership: Active Membership with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA)Skills:Demonstrated medical knowledge and ability to critically analyze coding problems and cases.Competent in use of a variety of software.Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Moderate judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.Accuracy of fine motor movements required for typi...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationRegina, SK
