Lansdowne Animal Hospital is an independently owned veterinary clinic with a strong connection to our community. We have been providing veterinary care for pets in Old Ottawa South since 1995. We are a friendly general practice team of 4 veterinarians and 14 staff looking to welcome a new Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist! There may be an opportunity to promote to Head Receptionist for the right candidate. Candidates must be positive, professional, reliable, organized, and have good verbal and written communication skills. They should be able to problem-solve and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be friendly, empathetic and efficient communicating with clients by phone, email, or in person and documenting or relaying information to the team as needed. Applicants with previous veterinary reception experience are strongly preferred however other combinations of experience may be acceptable such as experience in human medical reception, office administration, or customer service, AND knowledge of companion animals? (dogs and cats) medical care. Please demonstrate in your application how you meet each of these criteria. Work hours may be between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. We are always closed Saturday evenings and Sunday. Applicants must have flexible availability and be able to work 30-40 hours per week as needed. Part-time applicants will not be considered.
