Let?s talk. *Who we are: * Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations, development properties and exploration activities across the Americas principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals. *The Opportunity: * Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Stall Mill, reporting to the Mill Superintendent. This position will be a 7/7 opportunity. There is a camp available while on shift if you prefer to travel, however relocation packages and housing assistance are available to move you and your family to the vibrant community of Snow Lake if you wish. We offer a competitive salary, and benefits package, including pension, retiree benefits and employee share purchase plan. *Responsibilities:* Supervise and coordinate Mill operations. Promote and maintain safe work practices and procedures amongst staff. Ensure the: * Safety of all personnel * Cost-efficient management of consumables and supplies * People training, coaching and skills development in role * Discipline when necessary in accordance with the CBA for employees who are unionized * Be in compliance of regulatory and Hudbay Environmental standards * Work collaboratively with colleagues to recommend corrective actions based on monitoring the conditions that could adversely affect, under or exceed, the scheduled targets *Professional Experience / Qualifications:* * Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment and/or supervisory training. * Strong team leadership and delegation abilities * Strong communication and team work abilities * Ability to foster a climate of safety and continuous improvement. * Competent with MS Office (Excel, Word) and gmail * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
