We are a very well established manufacturer (40 years) that is experiencing significant growth. In our quest to be the best at what we do, we are looking to add a talented machinist to our crew. Ideally you will be a journeyman machinist with manual and CNC experience. If you are not a Journeyman but have years of experience setting up and running parts, then please apply. You must be able to read and follow drawings and machine parts to our specifications in a safe and timely manner. Recent students/grads from trade schools are also encouraged to apply. *Job description/Duties:* \*Set up and operate machine tools such a Manual and CNC lathes, Milling machines etc. to make components to specified tolerances and dimensions. \*Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations and method of setup. \*Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. \*Have a knowledge of Haas, Centroid, and Haas CNC controls. \*Demonstrate ability to learn new skills and follow written procedures. \*Demonstrate high degree of self-discipline to follow policies and procedures. \*Ability to multitask, and prioritize work. \*Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. \*Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and be highly motivated to excellence. \*Identify opportunities for continuous improvements. \*Excel in a team environment; apply teamwork attitude and strong work ethic. \*Demonstration a high degree of concern for safety of self and others. \*Have good documentation and organization skills. \*Have excellent communication skills. \*Have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. \*Have the ability to work on a fast-paced environment *The ideal candidate:* Red seal machinist certification At least 4 years of experience Experience in a custom manufacturing environment References will be required *Job Types: *Permanent, Full-time *Pay: *$35.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and certification *Benefits:* * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off * Vision care *Flexible Language Requirement:* * French not required *Schedule:* * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime *Supplemental pay types:* * Overtime pay *Ability to commute/relocate:* * Surrey, BC V4N 4N5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) *Experience:* * machinist: 4 years (required) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Ability to commute/relocate: * Surrey, BC V4N 4N5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * machinist: 4 years (required) Work Location: In person
