Aggregate data will be stored anonymously to support improvements to the Board's hiring processes. <p> Applications for the position of PSW Teacher are being accepted by the PSW Program for St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres. <p>Please see below for the details of the assignments: Assignment #1 <p>Assignment: <p>Facility (Student Supervision in Long-Term Care) <p>Day(s): <p>Monday -Friday <p>Time (of day): <p>scheduled 4.5 hours between the hours of 6:00 am- 2:00 pm <p># of hours/week <p>22.5 <p>Location(s) of Position: <p>Long Term Care Home in Waterloo Region <p>Start Date of Position: <p>Jan 6, 2025 <p>End Date of Position: <p>Feb 7, 2025 <p>Delivery Method: <p>in person <p>Assignment #2 <p>Assignment: <p>Community Placement <p>Day(s): <p>Monday-Friday <p>Time (of day): <p>6:00 am-11:00 pm on call (does require some in person visits) March 20th will be in person from 8:45-3:30 <p># of hours/week <p>5 hours paid per day <p>Location(s) of Position: <p>Community placement locations in Waterloo Region <p>Start Date of Position: <p>Feb 10, 2025 <p>End Date of Position: <p>March 20 ,2025 <p>General Description of Program: <p>The Personal Support Worker program will prepare students to provide supportive care to clients of all ages in various settings to improve the client's quality of life. <p>You will report to the Program Manager of the PSW Program General Description of Duties: Delivering in-class component of Personal Support Worker credit courses and/or Facilitating Co-op component of Personal Support Worker course, including clinical supervision off campus <p> Developing course materials and curriculum content in accordance with the Ministry of Education Curriculum documents <p> Identifying students' individual learning needs and using a variety of instructional strategies including the use of technology <p> Evaluating the progress of students and discussing results with students <p> To assess students in a range of ways throughout the course and submit final grades and reporting requirements Creating reports of students' performance and challenges, with recommendations for improvement Monitor and coach students to support success in their placement <p> Maintain accurate, up-to date student files, student attendance records, work education agreements, training plans, anecdotal data/monitoring reports <p> Working as part of a team to guide and further develop the PSW program <p> Participating in staff meetings Minimum Requirements: Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse holding current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario <p> A current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification (If no candidates with an OCT apply, other RN or RPN candidates will be considered) <p> Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse holding current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario <p> Minimum of two (2) years current, relevant work experience
