Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Computer hardware or software retailer/wholesaler. Help desk. Repair. Tasks: Report on the performance of computer systems and networks. Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computer. Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties. Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts. Supervise other technical support workers in this group. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Provide customer service. Solder and manually assemble various electronic components on PCB (printed circuit boards). Supervision: 5-10 people. Type of service and repair: Computers and peripherals.
