Responsibilities
Tasks

Evaluate daily operations

Monitor department’s performance

Plan and organize daily operations

Plan for changes to schedules and policies

Manage finances or budget

Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit

Ensure transport compliance with regulations

Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods

Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods

Organize and maintain inventory

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
