This is an in person position with no remote option. *_ *About the Role:* At Axon, we?re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technologist to transform concepts into reality for our revolutionary grain bin design. Using SolidWorks and flow modelling software (Ansys Fluent or Altair EDEM), you?ll play a critical role in developing, testing, and refining innovative designs. *Key Responsibilities:* * Create, finalize, and optimize design drawings in SolidWorks. * Conduct flow analysis using Ansys Fluent or Altair EDE. * Build and analyze prototypes for performance and functionality. * Identify and implement design improvements to optimize outcomes. * This role demands critical thinking, mechanical intuition, and a hands-on approach. You?ll need to think ahead, anticipate challenges, and proactively solve problems. *What You?ll Bring:* * A diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a minimum of three years of working experience. * Registered with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan as a Professional Technologist (P.Tech.) * Prior experience as a mechanic or millwright is highly desirable. * Prior design work in grain storage is highly desirable. * Proficiency in SolidWorks and flow modeling software (Ansys Fluent or Altair EDEM). * Strong hands-on mechanical skills. * Exceptional time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Strong spatial and conceptual awareness for visualizing and executing complex designs. * A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for continuous learning. * A class 5 driver's license with your own car.
