Peterbilt Medicine Hat is looking to fill the role of Parts Technician for our Redcliff location. This is a challenging role requiring experience supporting Peterbilt customers and offering them excellent technical support. Peterbilt Medicine Hat is a small operation that looks for versatile, ?Swiss army knives? who can contribute to multiple areas. Enjoying variety is a big part of this role!
Our industry is changing and developing quickly, so this individual should be willing to develop their technical skills and embrace new systems and technology with optimism.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, this individual would have the opportunity to grow into a pivotal role in shaping the future of the dealership.

* Previous parts and/or equipment sales experience (heavy truck preferred)
* Problem solving abilities. Meeting customer needs with professionalism
* CDK knowledge is an asset
* Knowledge of heavy equipment, vendors, and inventory systems
* Excellent phone manner and customer service skills
* Reliability and punctuality
* A team player with a positive attitude
* Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced department
* The ability to multi-task is a definite asset
* Clean driver?s abstract

* Fielding customer enquiries through phone, email, text or in person.
* Accessing catalogues and systems to identify correct parts
* Customer relationship building
* Use systems to build invoices and POs
* Order needed parts and other supplies
* Merchandising
* Purchasing
* Materials handling
* Administration and paper controls
Some lifting, driving and forklift operation may be involved in this position. Once trained the candidate may be required to join the Saturday/On Call rotation.
