No matter what your role, you will be part of a team that is building the future of agriculture ? solving the world?s food problems through innovation, technology, and putting people first.?We are currently seeking a?Safety and Training Specialist to join our team at our?Lethbridge County, Alberta location!What You Will Do:Support the Safety Supervisor in overall implementation of the corporate safety standards and training requirements for the siteCoordinate and complete direct safety and production training with site employeesPerforms a variety of tasks and duties to ensure compliance with standards and lawsSupports safety and production requirements by leading employee direct training.Organizes work regarding site training needs and safety standard directionCoordinates and completes duties and tasks to ensure safety standard requirements are implementedPromotes employee awareness of safety through training and employee engagementWorks with safety administrator to maintain record keepingVarious other duties as assigned by supervisorsEducation:You have an Associate?s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related fieldWhat Skills You Need:A minimum of two (2) years? experience of direct experience related to Agriculture, Safety, or related fieldKnowledge of seed production and processYou are comfortable with technology and possess good a computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required ?You have attention to detail, are self-motivated, and an independent thinkerYou are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and liftingYou have a valid driver?s license, so you will be able to drive company vehicles on-assignment when neededAbility to coach, supervise and lead others within a teamYou possess problem solving capabilities, conflict management skills, and the ability to make decisionsAbility to interpret technical writing, regulations, and proceduresKnowledge and awareness of existing and proposed federal and provincial regulationsYou possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customersYou uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every dayYou understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours, which include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand?What Makes You Stand Out:Bachelor?s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or AgriculturalYou have three (3) or more years of direct experience related to Agriculture, Safety, or Occupational HealthKnowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized WorkWork Authorization and Relocation:VISA Sponsorship is?NOT?available for this position?This position does?NOT?offer a comprehensive domestic relocation benefit package?Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):This role will be on-site at our Corteva location
