*CLASS 1 DRIVER - NANAIMO* We're looking for a full time skilled Class 1 driver *based out of our *_*Nanaimo*_ location. The routes run between Duncan and Port Hardy with the majority of the deliveries in Nanaimo, Courtenay and Campbell River. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service. *Responsibilities* * Operate heavy-duty automatic truck to transport freight to and from our high valued customers. * Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. * Most delivers are pin to pin. However, driver assist is sometimes required. * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules. * Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when necessary. *Experience* * Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 Driver's License. * Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations. * Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. * Strong understanding of automotive repair principles is advantageous. * Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. * A commitment to safety standards and practices in all driving activities.
