Position #: 193408 Expected Start Date: December 22, 2024 Union: SUN Facility: Yorkton District Nursing Home City/Town: Yorkton Department: LTC-Nrsng Anderson Village Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and is responsible for assessment planning, delivery and evaluation of health care services to the long term care residents and clients in the multipurpose beds of The Yorkton & District Nursing Home. This is done in collaboration with the family physicians, other health care providers, community organizations and programs and the resident and their family. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- 3 years experience as an RN in primary care, public health or acute careEducation- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)Licenses- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)- Master of Nurse Practitioner is acceptable- Nursing diploma is acceptableCompetencies- Advanced - Decision making skills- Advanced - Analytical skills- Teaching skills- Facilitation skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required- Enhanced knowledge of clinical assessment- Enhanced knowledge ofdiagnosis and treatment of common illnesses- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.- Demonstrates leadership, confidence and autonomy in the RN(NP) role- Demonstrates capacity to plan, implement and evaluate multiple assessments- Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the pro...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationYorkton, SK
