Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What you'll be doing...Reporting to the Program Manager, Electrification Deployment, the Deployment Manager, Deployments will be responsible for liaising with BC Transit Program Managers, Department Managers, Project Managers, other internal business representatives, as well as contractors and external business representatives to achieve key project deliverables. This work will serve to advance the deployment of low carbon fleets into transit systems across the Province of BC.This role will represent the needs of the Electrification Program by providing project leadership, direction, accountability and communication to key stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation for low carbon fleet projects deployments at BC Transit.Each low carbon fleet deployment project is anticipated to be a multi-year endeavor, comprised of several sub-projects for which designated functional area leads are accountable for their component of the integrated project (e.g. buses, infrastructure & utilities, information & technology systems and business operations). As part of this leadership role, this position serves as a program advisor, project liaison and primary contact for the collection of sub-projects associated with the deployment of battery electric buses into a transit system.The Deployment Manager is a key team member of the electrification program and demonstrates passion and excitement for integrating new innovative technology in achievement of BC Transit?s greenhouse gas reduction targets by delivering projects that are fully integrated, cost-effective and sustainable.
