*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. *Duties* * Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. * Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. * Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. * Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen. *Physical Demands* * Standing for extended periods. * Lifting and carrying heavy items such as pots, pans, food supplies, etc. * Repetitive motion. * Bending and Stooping. * Working in hot environments near grills, ovens and fryers. * Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment, including knives and other sharp instruments. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. * Knowledge of food safety practices. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards. * Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. * A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques. * A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from RCMP or local police authority.
