*Job Posting: Experienced Bicycle Mechanic* We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has a proven background in bicycle repair and maintenance, having worked in a bike shop environment with the ability to perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks with little to no supervision. If you have a passion for cycling and a strong technical skill set, we want you to be part of our team! *Key Responsibilities:* * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of bicycles, including road bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, and more. * Diagnose mechanical issues using industry-standard tools, diagnostic equipment, and your own expertise. * Conduct thorough inspections to ensure bikes meet safety standards and comply with all necessary regulations. * Replace or repair defective parts, including brakes, e-bike compentens, suspension repair, ensuring bikes are in optimal condition. * Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts and tools. * Collaborate with team members to improve shop processes and enhance operational efficiency. * Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in bicycle repair and maintenance. *Required Skills:* * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment commonly used in bicycle repair. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing repair schedules and inventory. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality. * Knowledge of workplace safety protocols, repair procedures, and industry standards. * Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. * Experience in working at a bike shop or similar environment is required, with a strong understanding of bike mechanics and repair processes. *Preferred Experience:* * Prior experience with bicycle repairs in a retail or service environment. * Familiarity with advanced bicycle systems, such as suspension tuning, hydraulic brake servicing, and e-bike diagnostics. * A passion for cycling and an in-depth understanding of various types of bikes and cycling components.
