AM Accountants is currently seeking an experienced *Senior Accountant *to join our accounting team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, taking ownership of financial operations, and is willing to thrive in a fast-paced environment. _*Minimum Requirements: *_ * A Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration in Accounting * A minimum of 4 plus years work experience in Full Cycle Accounting * A minimum of 4 plus years of technical experience in QuickBooks and performing the task online and in Microsoft Excel * A minimum of 2 plus work experience with compilation and reviewing engagements for various businesses * A minimum of 2 plus work experience with corporate and personal taxes * Experience in quarterly and yearend financials in compliance with ASPE * CPA licensing would be an asset _*Key Responsibilities & Duties:*_ * *Accounting Operations ? *Reviewing junior accountant files, creating financial statements for monthly and yearend reporting, and developing financial reports for CPAs * *Audits - *Leading and coordinating review and audit engagements * *Full Cycle Accounting ? *Preparing and finalizing financial statements, closing books, and ensuring tax compliance with Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations. * *Taxes ? *Overseeing tax preparation & filing, ensuring timely compliance with all relevant regulations& assisting with the preparation of corporate tax returns * *Other Responsibilities ? *Filing tax returns, T2, T1, and T3, preparing payroll, reviewing reconciliations, and other tasks & duties as required _*Ideal Candidate:*_ * *Detail-Orientated ? *Utilizes precision, carefulness, and thoroughness in reviewing reports and handling financial transactions * *Adaptable and Flexible ?* Has open-mindedness and willing to learn and embrace our new and ongoing accounting practices * *Resilient ? *Ability to meet deadlines during stressful seasons and remain calm during challenging situations * *Digitally Proficient ?* Familiar with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Caseware, TaxPrep, Profile, etc., and comfortable using Microsoft Excel on a daily basis _*Our Expectations:*_ The Senior Accountant position will be full-time, with the expectation of working 40 hours per week. The typical schedule will look like ? Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM ? weekends if needed.
