Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Roll-off truck. Transportation/travel experience: Short-haul. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Patience.
