RockCoast Confections, a small-batch, gourmet chocolatier and confectioner based on beautiful Vancouver Island, is seeking a talented professional to join our team. If you have an eye for detail, a flair for innovation, and a commitment to excellence, we?d love to hear from you! *Key Responsibilities* * Create, prepare, and perfect a variety of pastries, baked goods, and confections in line with RockCoast's standards and style. * Ensure chocolatier is supported with orders. * Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings. * Ensure consistent quality and presentation in all products. * Manage ingredient inventory, maintain stock levels, and minimize waste. * Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and organized workspace. * Assist in packaging and presentation for retail and wholesale orders. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a pastry chef, baker, or similar role in a professional kitchen. * Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry tools, and ingredients. * Creativity and a passion for experimenting with flavors and designs. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Ability to be proactive, work independently and as part of a collaborative team. * Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain). *What We Offer* * A family-owned and operated, supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and quality. * Opportunities to grow your career and contribute to a growing brand known for its commitment to excellence. * Employee discount on amazing chocolate products. * Competitive compensation based on experience. * The chance to live and work on Vancouver Island, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
