Job details
*KMC specializes in high-performance alloys, manufacturing alloys primarily for the petrochemical industry.*
*Summary:*
Responsible for duties ranging from general upgrade and repair of simple castings, fabrication of general or simple petrochemical assemblies using GTAW processes under the general direction of the Supervisor, Fabrication.
*Major Responsibilities (but not limited to)*
· Read blueprints and understand interpret weld symbols in order to correctly set up, fit and weld components of general and simple petrochemical assemblies to accurate dimensions.
· Ensure a safe environment for workers, staff and visitors; ensure personal safety with the use of all required PPE and safe set up procedures.
· Train with use of jigs and fixtures to set-up and weld castings to ISO standards.
· Possess knowledge of safe material handling techniques and be conversant in the safe operation of material handling equipment.
· Perform other duties as required.
*Education, Experience and Qualifications* Minimum Grade 12 education required
· College or Technical Training an asset
· Certificate in ASME, CWB and TSSA standards is considered an asset
· Welding Apprenticeship Training an asset
· Minimum 2 years? experience working in a Fabrication / Welding department within a Manufacturing environment.
