(Ndinawe) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth in Winnipeg. Since 1993, our integrated services have been connecting vulnerable children and youth aged 11?24 with the shelter, culture, recreation, education, outreach and support they need for safe and healthy lives. Open every day of the year, Ndinawe is an immediate and reliable place of safety, connection, and support for youth during times of high risk when other resources are unavailable to them. Our programs target harm reduction, crisis intervention, education, and stabilization for young people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness, sexual exploitation, family conflict, placement breakdown, and mental health crises. We also work to build a sense of connection and belonging for youth at risk, to strengthen the youth voice within our community and reduce the social isolation they experience. Wisdom brings with it the need to be responsible and accountable. *Truth* is the ability to adapt and change without compromising. *General Responsibility: * The Finance Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in monitoring the organization?s financial systems, ensuring that the organization?s finances are accurately maintained and in compliance with all financial regulations. The Finance Manager assumes all duties in accordance with the organization?s philosophy, direction, and policy standards. *Specific Accountability:* * Complete routine accounting tasks, including but not limited to payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking. * Under the direction of the Director of Finance, assist with the planning and development of comprehensive annual budgets. * Prepare various reports as required, such as: financial reports and statements. * Ensure expenses are within their specified budgets. * Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports that summarize and forecast the organization's financial position in compliance with generally accepted accounting Principles (GAAP). * Actively manage the organization?s cash flow statements to ensure operational needs and goals are met. * Monitor and oversee the organization?s banking activities. * Assist in proposal development for proposed project budgets. * Lead, mentor and manage the Finance Officer(s)
