*Job Summary & Description*
The ReStore supervisor provides oversight of day-to-day operations. The ReStore supervisor supervises store operations, troubleshoots problems in the workplace, ensures a positive customer and donor experience, and leads a store team by performance example. They ensure that staff and volunteers are supervised and follow Habitat Okanagan policies and procedures and that the store operates safely, effectively, and efficiently always under established policies and protocols.
*Store Operations & Administrative*
· Compliance with all HFHO policies and procedures
· Ensure staff and volunteers provide consistent and superior customer/donor service and experience
· At all times, act with consideration to profitability for the ReStore
· Follow and enforce daily opening and end-of-day HFHO ReStore procedures
· Ensure donations and products are stocked in a timely fashion, merchandising products to maximise sales opportunities
· Always maintain a clean and attractive store
· Supports, drives and engages with all HFHO fundraising goals and events
* Ensure timely, safe, accurate cash handling, reporting, and depositing
* Authorize in-store refunds, staff discounts, and/or credits
* Complete accurate paperwork required for donor tax receipting
* Answers telephone and emails of the ReStore to effectively schedule donation retrieval
* Conduct morning toolbox meetings
*Inventory Control & Donation Center:*
· Determine the acceptability of donated products, based on HFHO ReStore guidelines and inform donors
· Accept donations into the ReStore for processing, track inventory and effectively impact frequency of stock turnover
· Drive/operate truck, forklift, and pallet jack as required
· Assist with physically loading & unloading product
· Under the direction of the ReStore Central Manager, ensure that effective and efficient inventory flow is maintained
· Ensure that all product is priced according to HFHO ReStore pricing policy
· Under the direction of the ReStore manager, maintain a safe and optimal merchandising layout in the store's retail areas
*Safe Operation of the ReStore:*
· Ensure that all staff, volunteers, and shoppers adhere to ReStore safety policies
· Use Site Docs to complete hazard assessments, report safety incidents.
· Ensure that appropriate corrective actions are completed when safety concerns or incidents occur
· Ensure that all staff comply with all vehicles, trailer, and forklift (as relevant) safety inspections of store and are reported in Site docs
· Inspect store for hazards perform risk assessments to identify possible incidents; mitigate hazard risk, Ensure proper storage of material
· Report all incidents and unmitigated hazards to the ReStore Central manager
· Direct staff and volunteers to ensure store retail areas, receiving areas, and parking and loading areas are clean and operating safely within guidelines
*Staff & Volunteer Supervision*
· Onboard and train volunteers & staff in HFHO ReStore policies and procedures
· Assist in building and maintaining engaging, safe, and inclusive store culture
· Provide a satisfactory and supportive work environment for staff and volunteers through ongoing training and coaching
*Required Skills, Experience and Education*
· Commitment to work in support of the Habitat for Humanity mission and values
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years work experience, including 1 year in retail sales management
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to providing superior customer service
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to deal with the pressure of a demanding work environment with multiple priorities
* Experience supervising and utilizing volunteers and employees
* Creative problem solver and ability to successfully resolve unanticipated issues
* Knowledge of safety and maintenance issues in a warehouse environment
