Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Services, this executive position involves setting corporate HR objectives and strategies.Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking HR strategic vision and framework, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and current industry trends. Mentorship and Development: Lead and mentor the HR branch, enhancing its role as a strategic function within the organization. Comprehensive HR Oversight: Oversee all HR program areas, including workforce planning, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, labour relations, total rewards, and associated systems. Labour Relations Management: Oversee the labour relations function, including employee discipline, grievances, and collective bargaining negotiations. Safety Program Leadership: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and industry best practices through effective oversight of the agency?s safety programs. Learning and Development: Oversee the agency?s learning and development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Employee Services Administration: Administer employee services and benefits, negotiating contracts for wellness programs and other services. Culture and Engagement: Foster a culture of trust and respect, ensuring fair and equitable treatment for all employees. HR Systems Implementation: Design and implement HR systems in line with strategic goals and regulatory standards. Collaborative Leadership: Promote collaboration across branches and with client groups to ensure effective service delivery and relationship management. Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional relationships with clients, staff, and other ministries to ensure HR services are efficient, economical, and client-centered.Qualifications: A degree in Business Administration or a related field, with CPA, CHRP/CHRL, or IPMA designations being an asset. 10-15 years of progressive HR/business experience, including at least 7 years in leadership roles. A proactive, energetic, and entrepreneurial leadership style, adaptable to a changing environment. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Expertise in HR best practices, financial management, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and negotiation. Knowledge of applicable legislation and high standards of ethics and professional conduct. Experience in managing fiscal, human, and information resources effectively. Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage change, and achieve positive outcomes. Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational challenges. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. This position will be required to travel 20% of the time. The successful candidate must have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
