The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for a *Retail Associate in our Barrie location.* *What makes us different?* Proceeds from the ReStore are used to build homes for families in Simcoe County. Habitat for Humanity Huronia brings communities together to help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership. The ReStore hours are GREAT! Day only Monday to Saturday ? closed Sunday. *Part time: Monday through Saturday * *Duties include:*(but not limited to) · Works in a team environment to execute plans that support our culture, mission and ReStore Vision. · Creates exceptional customer and donor experience to maximize sales. · Assisting donors with unloading donations, while maintaining accurate record of donation · Develops relationships with volunteers and donors providing knowledgeable, courteous and responsive customer service to build loyalty and promote repeat business. · An understanding of the retail environment and the ability to keep current on pricing and fluctuating market trends. · Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a POS system. · Participate in merchandising the store daily, responding to rapidly changing merchandise. · Ensure adherence to established safety and security practices and procedures as outlined in the Restore Safety Handbook · Works with teammates to keep donations moving efficiently on to the sales floor. · Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills · Must be able to work flexible shifts from Monday to Saturday *Knowledge, Experience & Attributes:* · Previous retail experience with strong communication skills · Adaptable, energetic team player with a passion for contributing to our mission. · Strong interpersonal skills to develop a rapport with teammates, volunteers, customers and donors. · Able to meet the physical demands including: frequent pushing, pulling and reaching; frequent kneeling & bending; frequent lifting or carrying up to 30 lbs.; standing for extended periods of time. · Must have CSA approved, green patch steel toe boots/shoes. · Must be cleared by a police background check Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 ? 37.5 per week Benefits: * Store discount Flexible language requirement: * French not required Shift: * Day shift Work days: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * sales: 1 year (preferred) * Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-12-20 Expected start date: 2025-01-14
