*Job description* Scholars of Thornhill is seeking for a passionate and enthusiastic part-time Math and Science Teacher to join our team. As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering results that matter to all of our students, and our teachers play a key role in this journey. The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars? teaching methodology. Candidates must be confident teaching high school concepts up to grade 12. If you're looking for a rewarding and challenging work environment, we want to hear from you! Here?s what we?re looking for: ? Ontario Certified Teacher is preferred ? Candidates in Teacher College or university designation towards Math/Science are encouraged to apply. ? Previous experience working with students is an asset. ? Excellent English oral and written skills. ? A passion to help students reach their potential. ? Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail. ? Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students. ? Must be able to teach Math up to grade 12, Chemistry up to grade 12, Physics up to grade 12, Biology up to grade 12, and English up to grade 10. ? Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm & Saturday 9:00 - 2:00 pm Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation above. Schedule: * Evening shift * Part-time Ability to commute to: * Thornhill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * teaching: 1 year (preferred) * Tutoring: 3 years (preferred) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 6 ? 10 per week Benefits: * On-site parking Schedule: * Evening shift Education: * Bachelor's Degree (required) Experience: * teaching: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person- LocationThornhill, ON
