Are you a seasoned *Site Superintendent* or *Site Supervisor* with a proven track record of delivering large-scale *Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI)* projects valued at $20 million and above? *Position Overview*
We are seeking an experienced *Construction Site Superintendent* to oversee and manage all on-site activities for large-scale ICI construction projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and on budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
* Collaborate closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
* Oversee site safety programs, enforce compliance with OHSA and company safety standards, and promote a culture of safety on-site.
* Monitor and control project costs, mitigate risks, and resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track.
* Conduct regular site meetings with stakeholders and provide detailed reporting on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
* Ensure quality control by inspecting work, managing deficiencies, and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
*Qualifications*
* *5+ years* of experience as a *Site Superintendent* or *Site Supervisor* managing ICI construction projects valued at *$20M+* in Canada.
* Extensive knowledge of *Canadian building codes*, regulations, and construction practices.
* Strong ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
* Proficient in interpreting and managing construction drawings, contracts, and schedules.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and under budget.
* Strong safety-first mindset with experience implementing and managing safety programs.
* Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Certification in *construction management* or a related field.
* *Gold Seal Certification* or equivalent credentials are a strong asset.
* Experience with *LEED projects* is an asset.
